The Reno Astrology Meetup is a new local astrological organization that meets on the second Saturday of each month in Reno, Nevada. The purpose of the Reno Astrology Meetup is to create a robust and active community in Northern Nevada for astrologers to meet, network and share knowledge with one another. Our main focus is the organization of monthly meetings and workshops in order to help teach and promote various forms of astrology.
Our meetings are open to all astrologers, astrology enthusiasts, or people who would just like to learn more about the subject, from the novice to the adept. Everyone is welcome, and all who attend will learn something new and interesting at each meeting.

The June Reno Astrology Meetup will feature a guest lecture by astrologer Amanda Sophia on the topic of the upcoming Venus in Leo transit. The second hour will be for Q&A and also for anyone who wants to share their own personal Venus in Leo stories! Where is Leo in your chart? Do you have major placements there? What happened when Venus transited through there in the past?
Hearing real life stories is key to really understanding the astrology, so please prepare a story if you have one!
Lecture Description
Venus transits the sign of Leo from June 06, 2023- Oct 09, 2023. We will explore the symbolism of Venus in Leo, hypothesize what we might expect from this transit in the real world, pinpoint important dates of major aspects, review historical events from previous cycles, and analyze famous people with this placement natally. After the lecture, there is an opportunity for attendees to share their own Venus in Leo stories. Speakers consent to audio and video recording. The lecture is posted for free on Youtube for a limited time and will subsequently go on sale for purchase.
Meeting Times and Fee
The meeting will run from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. There is no fee to attend this meeting virtually or in-person. Donations are appreciated to cover the cost of running a Meetup Pro account. Donations are accepted via Pledge through the “Donate Now” button at the top of on the Meetup page.
